I don't know that much about Joey's family, but the thing you have to consider is that his parents probably worked really hard so that they could spoil their children while they're in college. I know that when my parents were growing up, they had to go through exactly what you're doing, and so they wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have to do this while I'm in school.

HOWEVER, that being said, because he doesn't have to worry about working and supporting himself, he should be doing THAT MUCH MORE with his time. I feel like nobody should have down time during school, this is the only time of our lives when our JOB is to go to CLASS. We will never ever have that again, and although you got the short end of the stick as far as having an assload of responsibilities on top of school, you at least seem to appreciate it. Trust me, being able to appreciate your position in life is absolutely huge, and I bet you anything Joey will look back on these years with regret. Your efforts will most definitely be rewarded, hard work always is. It sucks waiting for it, but it will happen.
